nlike some stores, The Wood Carte does not offer "free delivery." Clearly, there are few things in life which are actually free. Stores that advertise "free delivery" have simply included that fee in the markup of every item they sell. The Wood Carte believes this is unfair to customers who have the ability to pick up their purchases and therefore we do not have hidden delivery charges in our pricing.

For over two decades Wood Carte customers have come to appreciate this approach and we're sure when you see our prices, you will too!

Currently the Glens Falls, NY, region store can arrange delivery with a professional delivery service. The cost of delivery varies depending upon factors such as distance, assembly requirements, size, etc. The delivery company is not part of The Wood Carte. Payment by cash or check is to be made directly to the deliverer at time service is rendered.

The Rutland, VT, store can provide the name and phone number of a professional carrier in the Rutland region. Arrangments can then be made directly between the customer and the delivery company.

Please measure to be sure items will fit in your vehicle. The Wood Carte will gladly provide measurements of the item(s) you plan to pick up.
Due to our wide variety of suppliers and the custom nature of our cabinetry and finish work, not all items are in cartons.
Bring any needed blankets, tarps, tie-down cords, etc.
It's important to keep your furniture dry. Please bring the necessary coverings to insure your new furniture remains dry during transport.

With a garage for a workshop and a $5,000 investment, The Wood Carte was initially launched in 1982 by brothers Lindsay, Kelly and Chris Carte. Although The Wood Carte has continued to evolve, the ultimate goal remains the same today as it was in the very beginning - unequaled selection and consistent value in real wood home furnishings.

In the beginning the Cartes built and stained every item that filled their modest showroom. Back then orders were taken, built and finished very quickly - usually within a few days.
